I chose this rating because this product is not what it states to be, this cable is not balanced at all, massive hissing and buzzing noise, even when I adjust the volume settings on gain and peak, even after that the gain and peak were so low that it wasn't even worth recording because you could barely hear yourself. This is either a faulty cable or its just poorly made either way its a bad product, but as always you get what you pay for, if its cheap then you will more than likely get something that isn't worth buying. If you need a balanced Microphone cable I would buy a mid to high priced one. I used the cable that came with my mic where it is balanced but again its not the best quality as the XLR fitting is slightly loose and I had to use electrical tape to secure it in a tight position.
